About Lawyer

Eric Faion is Litigation Counsel at the Toronto office, having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers as an articling student in 2018. Prior to this, he was a Summer Associate at a prominent full-service law firm in Washington D.C. His area of practice is insurance defence litigation. Eric received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction in 2015. He went on to obtain both a Canadian and US law degree at the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy, where he graduated from the dual JD program in 2018. Eric was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2019.

Eric received the Lysaght and Stewart Entrance Scholarship from the University Of Windsor Faculty Of Law. While at law school, he was a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Justice Murray at the Michigan Court of Appeal and was named a distinguished oral advocate at the G. Mennen Williams Moot Court Competition.

Eric has appeared at various levels of court including the Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court, where he won a small claims trial in 2019. 

Personal Interests

Eric’s personal interests include hockey, golf, running and spending quality time with family and friends.
