About Lawyer

Michelle Commance is litigation counsel at the Calgary office, having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in April 2021.  Prior to joining Aviva, Michelle worked as an associate at a Calgary insurance defence firm.  She maintains a general insurance defence litigation practice.  Michelle obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Calgary in 2006, and graduated law school as part of the inaugural class of Thompson Rivers University’s Faculty of Law in 2014.  She was called to the bar in Alberta in 2015.  Michelle has trial experience and has appeared in both the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.
